Woodpecker Self Storage

Woodpecker Self Storage is a family-owned business operating in Southampton and Swansea. It offers self-storage container sizes from 15 sq. ft to 160 sq. ft. The Southampton site is near the M27 and within a 10-minute drive of Southampton city centre, Totton, and Romsey. The Swansea facility is located on Westfield Road in Waunarlwydd. The container site was built with the help of sister company Willbox. Woodpecker Self Storage provides 24/7 access. It has 24-hour CCTV surveillance. The company installed 14 vents for effective air circulation.

It uses fully monitored CCTV with motion sensors, infrared night vision cameras, automatic plate recognition, and a tannoy system from BearBox. It uses security-coded gates with personalised PINs. It provides on-site WC and showers. Contracts, bookings, and payments are fully digital. It provides a welcoming pack including an emergency number and biodegradable goodies. Woodpecker Self Storage has ISO 14001 accreditation. It aims to be carbon neutral by 2025. It offers local man & van hire.

Cleanliness of the containers and the friendliness of the team recur throughout feedback on this Nursling storage site, with Andy and Chris singled out for the courtesy and knowledge they bring to enquiries before any agreement is signed. The process of registering and then reaching a unit is described as simple, and the spaces themselves as fresh, tidy and generous enough to hold the contents of an entire house during a move. Site security is a point raised again and again, together with confidence that possessions will remain undamaged.

A welcome pack of environmentally conscious items is remembered as a thoughtful extra, as are the toilets and shower available on site. Customers who needed room for a home office report the same smooth experience, and storage periods of roughly three months passed without trouble at rates viewed as reasonable for the surrounding area. Staff are further credited with handling stored goods carefully and showing real concern for their worth, a detail repeated in longer accounts of the service, which often ends with a wholehearted recommendation to friends and colleagues.
