blue self storage - Wentloog

Blue Self Storage opened its first facility in 1988 at Wentloog Corporate Park and has been providing storage in Cardiff for three decades. The Wentloog site was the first in South Wales to be awarded the Platinum CaSSOA award, and the company is a member of the Self Storage Association. It offers storage units for personal and professional use, and provides caravan, motorhome, trailer tent and boat storage, as well as car, lorry, HGV, scooter, motocross and quad bike storage.

Compounds and yards are available to let, and packaging materials are sold. Contents cover is provided. Racking is offered in 80sqft and 160sqft units. Security includes 24/7 monitored CCTV surveillance and guard patrols with dogs, security controlled entry points with photo ID access, and alarmed perimeter fencing. Discounted caravan insurance is available for customers due to the CaSSOA Platinum award at the Wentloog facility.

Prices are locked for 12 months. A team of Storage Coordinators, Accounts Experts and Security Staff is based at the Wentloog HQ, overseeing all UK storage locations. A free Wentloog Business Club is run. New locations include Bristol, Treforest, Rogerstone, Gloucester, Bridgend, Tyneside and Aberdeen. An in-house security team works around the clock, and the entire Wentloog facility is accessed via a guarded entry-point requiring photo ID.

Caravan and motorhome owners form the backbone of the feedback for this Cardiff storage site, with many keeping vehicles there season after season. The security arrangements draw consistent praise: customers describe access controlled by a drive in and drive out verification system, regular patrols and a generally secure feel that gives peace of mind. The registration process is repeatedly called quick and straightforward, with applications often completed within days and pitches shown shortly after the first enquiry. Bernadette, also known as Bernie, and Sharon are named for their friendly, professional manner and the clarity with which they explain procedures.

Reviewers also value the on-site facilities, including jet washers, chemical waste disposal, air for tyres, vacuum cleaners and platforms for reaching caravan roofs, alongside a modern reception area. Helpfulness extends to the finance team, who have assisted customers in downsizing to a smaller unit close to their original one. The site itself is described as clean and well maintained, and long-standing users speak warmly of many years of trouble-free storage for caravans and motorhomes, with vehicle and boat storage also covered.
