Plymouth Self Storage is a family-run business with over 40 years' experience in storage and removals. It is part of the Hackworthy Group of businesses and operates two professionally managed sites in Plymouth. The central site, located next to Faraday Mill Business Park, is 32,000 sq ft. The east site, on the Langage Business Park in Plympton, has 35,000 sq ft of lettable space including a bulk storage area.

Both sites have access systems and CCTV monitoring. Storage units range from 10 sq. ft to 350 sq. ft, with units from 20 sq. ft up to 300 sq. ft available at both sites. Services include personal storage, business storage, student storage, confidential waste shredding, packaging materials, moving into storage services, and a full archive retrieval service.

Plymouth Self Storage - Plympton has built its reputation on a family-run approach that reviewers repeatedly praise, with Pete and Shaun named time and again for their professional yet personable manner. More than one customer describes units that stayed spotlessly clean, dry and well ventilated over periods of four years or more, with belongings emerging in perfect condition after long-term storage.

The flexibility to change unit size or extend time as circumstances shift comes up often, and the site itself is described as easy to reach by car with straightforward access inside the building. Reviewers highlight fair, competitive pricing for both storage and secure paper disposal, alongside packaging supplies and shredding services. The team's willingness to step beyond the expected is a recurring theme, whether that means accommodating a house move at short notice or helping resolve a courier delivery that had stalled for days.

Tidiness, security and a consistently welcoming attitude are mentioned across the feedback, as is the practical convenience of on-site facilities during longer stays. Customers who used the service for home downsizing or a few months during a move describe the experience as straightforward and well managed, with communication that kept arrangements simple from start to finish.
