1st Access Self Storage Peterborough

1st Access Self Storage was founded in 1990 by husband and wife Paul and Susanne Fletcher. Originally named AAA, the business rebranded to 1st Access in 1993 when it moved to Fengate. The company has grown from a team of two to 14 employees and is an independent, family-run business. It has been providing storage services for over 30 years. The facility offers 24/7 access, round-the-clock CCTV surveillance, and security-trained staff.

The company provides a full move-in and move-out service. 1st Access Self Storage serves Peterborough, Stamford, Spalding, and surrounding areas. It offers self storage units, container storage, personal storage, commercial storage, and document archiving. The company has partnered with Reads Removals, a local removal team with almost 100 years in the business.

Storage space in Peterborough draws a mix of private households moving home and businesses needing somewhere to keep their goods, and the experiences recounted share a consistent tone. Reviews return often to the condition of the units, described as clean, tidy and simple to use, with lifts and trolleys making it easy to move items to upper floors. Sarah is singled out for the warmth of her welcome, while Neil is credited with responding quickly to questions, sometimes on the same day, and several customers remark on how smoothly the whole arrangement comes together, including one who completed everything over WhatsApp around a busy work schedule.

Pricing is another recurring theme, with rates quoted openly rather than requiring an emailed request, and people who rented for well over a year describe their belongings as safe and secure throughout. Communication before and during the move-in is frequently praised, with times arranged to fit individual schedules. Ease of parking beside the shutter doors is noted, as is the help given when a lock was left behind and the matter was resolved by sending a photograph of the unit on the next working day.
